Hello everyone,

Welcome to an episode I would like to call Neme's thought process. I would like to inform you to hold on to your seatbelts because, as shown by my previous post, my thoughts are like a rollercoaster ride.

Ghost: *sneeze* ADHD.

Me: Ruudee!, say it with your chest. Oh wait, you have none.

Ghost: *sulks away in annoyance*

No, I can't see ghosts, but it would be fun if I could, right? Thinking about it, it would be equal parts cool and scary. Like this tv show I see on TikTok where this girl moved into a house and she can see all the ghosts that live there and each have backstories, dated centuries (went on TikTok after writing the entire thing, cause if I went before, I might not have come back. Apparently, the show’s name is Ghosts). She tries to turn the house into a hotel, and we discover that while some ghosts are confined to a place, others are confined to a person.

But imagine if we lived among ghosts. Those unexplained actions finally having an explanation. Wait. If ghosts can pass through walls and people, how can they turn off lights? Or is this a ‘Boo Bitch’ type situation? (Boo Bitch is a show on Netflix btw, its nice, go watch)

Ghost topic aside, its currently thirty minutes before closing of the week and I started this so I don't look idle. Its giving smart corporate clicky clacky meanwhile I'm here gossiping with my notes app while listening to Britney Spears (all eyes on me, in the center of the ring, just like a circus).

Counting down to five pm. In my former office, I would have been quarter way home by now (we used to leave by four there). My thoughts are moving a mile a minute now so I'm just gonna ask a few questions to myself (you, as in the reader, can answer them too if you like).

Q: How do you plan to spend the weekend?

A: Well, market, to spend money I don't have, then making love to my bed with a book I have been anticipating since May

Q: Are looking forward to next week

A: No, but I quite like money so I will be there nonetheless (is that how this is spelt? where is autocorrect when you need her?)

Do you guys attach memories to songs? Cause the song I'm listening too has such a hilarious memory attached to it. Let me gist you (I mean its gist corner for a reason).

So, I went to a girls' only secondary school, and I was an omo-get-inside (still am) so I didn't really understand boy's scopes and how they behaved (my only exposure to boys my age was in church). In my first year of uni, I met this guy. We were friends. One evening, this blessed boy called me away from the rest of our friends (first sign I missed), and he said he had a song he wanted me to listen to. He played the song and as a minor production junkie that I am, I focused on the beat and melody instead of the lyrics. The song ended. He looked at me expectantly and I opened my mouth and said, “Its a good song”. He looked confused but I brushed it off as the nuances of men that I didn't learn in secondary school.

A year later, after I was well adjusted to the nuances of the male gender, the song came on in a shuffle playlist and I actually paid attention to the lyrics. Then I discovered, IT WAS A LOVE SONG. Specifically, a song about friends to lovers. AKA this young man, was using style to tell me about his feelings through song and stupid little me genuinely thought he was showing me new music. I had even asked him the name of the song to add to my playlist (which as you can see, I did add it. I took his assumed music recommendation seriously). Chaii!!

5 o’clock please na, why is time crawling? But when I close my eyes and open them, its Monday. Like why are we using the entire January to November to do 4:30pm to 5pm? I guess it's not a bad time to start packing my bags so I can sprint home, see ya!!
